You decide what applications will be used by your employees. Users cannot install any software on their own. Computer viruses and other malicious software will not threaten your network. Users cannot change their network settings, connect peripheral devices without your consent, or change their desktop resolution.
No risk for employers
Not only will the purchase price of a virtual display terminal return in the form of energy savings in less than 15 months, the company will also be protected against rising energy prices. The threat of criminal prosecution of responsible persons, including the management, for copyright violations will be eliminated. Employees will not be able to jeopardise network operations or introduce viruses in the environment.
How do user profiles work?
Individual users can be added to groups. Each group can have its own applications, permissions, options, and restrictions. An administrator will select desktop icons representing applications for each group.
A special profile with an Internet browser window is prepared for users who are only allowed to access the Internet. Turning off the browser logs the user off the Raydesk system.
There are other special options for limiting applications to a certain time period (hours or weeks) or for selected days of the week or month.
The whole process of making applications available to groups or individuals can be incorporated into your existing authentication software (Microsoft Active Directory, LDAP, Identity Management). User authentication can be supplemented by using chip cards which also provide hot-desking, i.e. transferring a desktop to a different virtual display terminal.
